Summer Reading Challenge Young Volunteers

Aged 16 to 24? Do you enjoy reading? Do you enjoy working with children and want to volunteer? Then helping with the Summer Reading Challenge in libraries in Wokingham Borough Libraries may be for you.

Our Summer Reading Challenge – Record Breakers aims to keep children aged 4 to 11 reading throughout the holiday.

Your volunteering will start from 27 July 2015 until 28 August 2015 and as long as you can give us at least 6 hours of your time over the Summer, we would love you to help us support the Challenge.

It’s fun and a great addition to your CV and you have the chance to give something back to your local community.

Before you start you will receive full training, for more information contact volunteer@wokingham.gov.uk or call 0118 974 6263.

A copy of our  volunteer role description (PDF document) is available and to apply please fill out the application form (Word document).

Wokingham Libraries are part of the national campaign to have more young volunteers into our libraries this Summer. You might like to check out the national campaign website
