Wokingham Borough Libraries something beginning with B

BB is for baby rhymetime – We have half-hour sessions for babies and toddlers with an enjoyable selection of  songs and rhymes.

Babies – Children are never too young to enjoy using a library. Even babies can be library members. We offer the a variety of  activities for children aged 5 and under. Children’s events for the under 5’s at Wokingham Borough Libraries

Biographies – all of our libraries have biographies you can borrow, such as The story of Alice by Robert Douglas-Fairhurst visit our library catalogue for more biographies.

Books – Our libraries offer a wide range of books including:

  • Adult fiction and non-fiction books, including large print
  • Children’s fiction and non-fiction, including picture books, board books, large print and audio books
  • CDs, DVDs and audio-books
  • Reference material  – encyclopaedias, dictionaries
  • Newspapers and magazines
  • Graphic novels including manga
  • Local and family history resources

Breakout space for studying is available in most of our libraries.

Bookstart – we administer this national programme that encourages parents and carers to enjoy books with children from an early age.  Bookstart aims to provide a free pack of books to every baby in the UK – to inspire, stimulate and create a love of reading.
