Rhymetime in the park at Dinton Pastures Country Park on Monday September 11, 2017

 

Libraries go outside to celebrate books and a love of reading this summer

Wokingham Borough Libraries will be running a Rhymetime in the Park at Dinton Pastures Country Park on Monday September 11 from 10am to 12 noon.

The Rhymetimes will be at 10.30am and 11.30am.   There will be activities and information from:

  • The Wokingham Borough Children’s Centre Family Workers.
  • The Wokingham Borough Early Years Team will be promoting their “Ready for School, Ready for Life” programme.
  • The My Journey Team will have road safety information and a chance to try Balance Bikes.
  • There will also be an  Authors’ Corner with local author Tina Stubbs who will be reading extracts from her books and  books will be available for purchase  on the day.

Relax Kids helps children manage stress, anxiety and difficult feelings whilst boosting self-esteem, confidence and improving sleep. Relax Kids offers training to adults and classes to children using a unique 7-step method to teaching relaxation.

Alison from Wokingham Relax Kids will be running the following Taster sessions at Wokingham Library.

Children have fun while learning skills to aid their emotional and physical development. With Relax Kids, for children aged 8 to 12 years old. £3 charge.

Chill Skills supports young people feel more confident, improve their learning potential, manage their emotions and be the best they can be! For 11 to 16 year olds.
