Surviving Wedding Photography-A talk with Tony Weston about a professional photographer’s most stressful job and what can go wrong. £5 charge

National Share a Story Evening-Share your favourite story or poem or read one you have written yourself. Free to attend but please book in advance. Woodley Library, Thursday May 17, 7.30pm to 9pm

House Plant Drawing- Come and join us for a relaxed drawing session and get inspired to draw, with a collection of house plants as the focus. £3 charge

Wokingham Library, Saturday May 19 1.30pm to 3.30pm

Nutrition and Health Talks– with nutritional therapist Sasivimol Ahmed at Lower Earley Library. Both talks run 1pm to 2pm. Free sessions.

Session 1: Healthy Gut means Healthy You, Tuesday May 15.

Session 2: Eat Right for the Brain, Tuesday June 19.

Fascinators and Tiaras Workshop– with tutor Rachel Freegard. Make your own accessories for Ascot and the wedding season.

Dementia Action Week Activities during May 21 to 27, 2018

  •  Understanding Dementia and lessening its impact for those who care in any sense. A talk with Shirley Pearce. Wokingham Library, Thursday May 24 10am. Free
  • Coffee Morning and Reminiscence Activities- Drop-in, enjoy a coffee and help raise funds for the Alzheimer’s Café, Woodley Library, Thursday May 24 10am to 12noon
  • Dementia Awareness Sessions- Find out more about dementia and the ways in which you can help people in the community. Woodley Library, Friday May 25 at 12noon and Thursday May 31 at 6pm

What’s On for Children in Wokingham Borough Libraries May Half-term 2018

 Family Learning Craft Skills – Have a go at different crafts that you can use to help your children with their learning. For families with children aged 4 and over. £5 charge. Booking via Adult and Community Learning Team, 0118 974 3797 or lifelonglearning@wokingham.gov.uk

Fun with Finger Spelling – Come and learn British Sign Language Spelling with fun games and activities. Places must be booked, For children aged 7 to 12 years old. £2 charge.

Mini Professors – Taster Session for children aged 2 to 5 years old, with science based fun. Places must be booked.

Woodley Library  Thursday May 31,  11.15am to 11.45am

Sand Art– Create a sand picture with Kids Bee Happy with Maddi. £4 per picture, for children aged 4 to 11 years old. Drop in!

Storytime with Princess Belle from Tutus & Tiaras – Come and hear stories from Princess Belle with stories and rhymes for children aged 5 and under, there will also be plenty of photo opportunities with a themed backdrop provided and some colouring fun, even a Magic Wish thanks to Tinkerbell.
