Events for Wokingham Well-Being Week, May 13-18
Sleep Talk- Find out how to improve Sleep in Adults. An event for Wokingham Well-Being Week with Dr Lindsay Browning from Trouble Sleeping. On Monday May 13 from 6pm to 7pm.
Life’s Little Bugs Story session – Come and meet author Tina Stubbs and meet the Little Bugs, with stories from Hum Bug and Fitness Bug with activities. For children aged 7 and under, free just drop in! Books will be on sale after the session. On Tuesday May 14 from 4pm to 4.30pm.
Reading Well for Mental Health– Library staff will talk about books available in the library to support adults and families during Wokingham Well-Being Week. Free Event. On Wednesday May 15 from 11am to 12noon.

An Evolving Garden- A talk about creating a garden in Wokingham with John Harrison. £3 charge. On Monday May 13 10.30am to 11.30am.
E-Library Help Sessions– Book yourself onto a 30 minute session for help with our E-Library service, including e-books, e-audio and e-magazines. Please bring your device with you. Thursday May 16 10am to 12noon and 2pm to 4pm.
Heritage Walk- A walk exploring Wokingham’s Heritage stating at Wokingham Library with the Wokingham Society. Free. On Wednesday May 15 10.30am to 11.30am.
Macrame/Paracord Bracelet Workshop – Learn how to make cool macramé and paracord bracelets that the whole family will love. With tutor Rachel Freegard, £5 charge plus cost of materials. On Saturday May 25 10am to 1pm.
Smith’s Coaches of Reading 1922-1979 – A talk about local transport history with Paul Lacey. £3 charge. On Thursday May 9 2pm to 3pm.
Understanding Dementia–and lessening its impact-a talk with dementia specialist Shirley Pearce for Dementia Action Week. Free Event. On Thursday May 23 10am to 11.30am.
Twyford Library-Drop-in card making activity for adults. Try your hand at making cards- decoupage and Iris Folding techniques will be taught by a tutor. £2.50 per card. On Friday May 17 10.30am to 12.30pm.

Connie’s Colander– A theatre show with Human Story Theatre about the effect of Alzheimer’s disease on a family followed by a Q&A with a specialist. Free but donations would be appreciated. On Monday June 24 from 2.40pm to 3.45pm.
Universal Skills – A new online service is now available from Wokingham Libraries called Universal Skills, which takes you through the process of registering for Universal Credit, the necessary steps for job-seeking, and useful skills such as preparing for interviews.

Explore Learning – Piece of Cake – Children take a trip to the bakery as they learn to divide up their favourite treats to help the master their fractions and decimals. How much cake will they get if they need to split it between the whole? Free session with Explore Learning for children aged 9 to 11 years old. Places must be booked.
