Art in the Library Online.
While libraries are closed we have invited artists to highlight their work online. Here local artist Barry Wall tells us about his art.
Barry Wall is an experimental artist. He has been a member of the Henley Art And Crafts Guild since 2016. His work is included in the Guild’s Exhibitions at the Old Fire Station in Henley. He has also exhibited on the Caversham Arts Trail, Henley Arts Trail and at Wokingham Library Cafe.
His work uses a wide range of materials to make collages including printed images, transparencies, pastels and pencils.
His other work uses glass, slate, plastic, wood, casting resin and discarded items that would otherwise go landfill to make art and crafts.
He joined a Ceramic group in 2018 and has created a number of stoneware and earthenware ceramics.
This lockdown and uncertain times has resulted in making time available to create art using whatever materials are available at the time.
The works in order are Social Distance, Lockdown, Sailaway and Triangles. The collages are A4, unframed and not mounted and are available for £50 each and all created in and reflected by the lockdown.
