Wokingham Borough Libraries stock science books for adults and children. They can be found in the non-fiction areas of our libraries under the 500 dewey number sequence (ask any member of library staff for help). We are always buying new books covering topics such as Astronomy, Popular Science, Chemistry, Physics, Biology and Genetics. We also have lots of new science revision guides for GCSE and A-Level.

British Science Week, run by the British Science Association is a ten-day celebration of science, technology, engineering and maths and is the UK’s biggest celebration of science. It features entertaining and engaging events and activities across the UK for people of all ages.

If you would like to attend a local British Science Week event you can find information on the Science Live website at http://www.sciencelive.net/what’s-on/

Get involved. Each year British Science Week has a citizen science partnership, and this year it is with The Plastic Tide. This is a charity made up of ocean, science and tech enthusiasts working out ways to clean up the oceans of marine litter and plastic. Their simple citizen science project works by getting members of the public to tag images of the coast that contain pieces of litter.
