School Uniform Collection Points for First Days Charity

18119051_1449601071769238_4492095665544606535_nThe First Days pink bins are back in libraries across Wokingham Borough, collecting school uniforms to help struggling local families. Last year the donations received through the scheme allowed First Days to kit out over 200 children ready for the first day of term in September, and this year, with your continued help, they are hoping to help even more.

The pink bins have returned to four libraries – Wokingham, Woodley, Lower Earley and Finchampstead (FBC) – and will be in place from now until 23rd June.  The charity welcomes donations in the bins of all GOOD quality school uniform, ages 4-8, school shoes, plimsoles and trainers (NO school specific items please).  They also accept very good quality backpacks and lunch bags.

First Days is a Woodley based charity which helps the families of young children living in poverty in Berkshire and beyond.  The charity collects donated items and works with childcare professionals to redistribute them to families in need.  If you’d like to know more about the charity, fundraise, donate other items or if you think that you or someone you know might benefit from their help please visit www.firstdays.net or email info@firstdays.net
