Volunteering opportunities with Wokingham Borough Libraries

Volunteers help deliver storytimes, rhymetimes and children’s activities in libraries. 

We are recruiting Storytime and Rhymetime, Lego Club and Creative Writing volunteers for September 2017 onwards at the following libraries:

  • Spencers Wood Library
  • Winnersh Library
  • Twyford Library

DSCN1983A Writing Group at Twyford Library meets on the third Monday of the month from 5.45pm until 6.45pm (the library closes at 7pm).

The group is new and fairly small. Bring along copies of something you are currently working on for constructive feedback and be prepared to offer helpful comments to other writers.

Inspiration and guidance in all areas of writing is available if required. There is no fee for the sessions.

Animal Agents at Wokingham Borough Libraries Summer Events 2017

Animal Agents is the Summer Reading Challenge theme for 2017 at Wokingham Borough Libraries.  To join just pop into your local Wokingham Borough Library between Saturday 1 July 2017 and Sunday 3 September 2017.   Open to all primary school aged Library members.
